Cute little experimental app in science.
Cute little experimental app in science. After 5 min, you get the idea and move on. If you're 8 yo and it's the first time you see a skull in detail, you might be impressed longer. Controls are almost there but not quite, specially when switching from moving to picking to rotating. Interface design could use some polishing.

Great app to begin your Lp.M. experience
This app is great and you learn a lot by using it, however improving the controls will make it a lot better. I mus say for a free app is actually quite impressive.

Best use of Leap Motion IMHO
Perfect example of how Leap Motion should work. Still some fine tuning to do, and in dire need of new content, but very happy that one of the best working apps is free.
-
Very nice and educational
This really shows the potential leap motion having. I liked how smoothly one can rotate the head and also zoom in and out intuitively.
-
Great Potential but not there yet
I really love the graphics and the movement but the clicking gesture just spoils it. as for the picking pieces and moving them this is also difficult.

Please explain how you initiate the "click" gesture!
Could one of the developers please explain how to effectively and consistently initiate the click gesture? At the moment it feels like it does not work, except at random and rarely.

Love it, but the clicking is awful!
I wouldn't change anything except the clicking, or at least providing options for clicking. All the other gestures are great.

Fantastic Demo App
This app is great for demonstrating Leap's abilities. It would be nice if developers would start making standard motions that are used over multiple apps. So far these controls are the best. Grabbing different bones is tough, but the concept is great. Love the app!

Excellent control interface that other developers should take notice off
If you're learning about anatomy this is a great app to help with that. I hope future updates will bring more than just bones to explore. What really shines about this app is the control interface. It's fluid, intuitive, and so far sets the bar for manipulating 3D space with the Leap.
-
One of my favorite free apps!
The navigation mode for this skull is my favorite. It's so intuitive and easy. I can very easily see myself using this to navigate around a 3D scene in Cinema 4D some day. The only downside to it is that the grabbing and releasing of bones can be challenging and sometimes buggy.
-
Decent program
The 3D feeling is better than many other programs. Feels smooth and intuitive to move around, however it's not much more than one could do with a mouse. The center is fixed, as is the rotation of each bone. What I'd love to see is more of grabbing/pinching motions... Not sure how well grabbing motions works (if all fingers get detected), but my point is I'd like a more natural interaction with the world -- as if it was actually in the virtual space before me.
-
Excellent demonstration of Leap's capabilities
The best app I've used so far for the Leap. The control is intuitive and accurate, compared to other apps. The team behind the app is also responsive.

Pretty Cool
I'm glad this is free. For the most part it works really well although the game mode is seriously frustrating because using the thumb to click & select objects is haphazard and just seldom works when you want it to. Also while using open-hand mode to shift the skull around it randomly acts like I selected a piece of the skull and moves that piece even though that was not my intention. Anytime a user interaction does not get the expected or intended response it decreases user satisfaction.
-
Inaccurate
The click gesture was inaccurate and would trigger at random intervals, and rarely when I wanted it to. Smooth graphics performance and a neat educational experience, however the "click" issue makes it nearly impossible to put the skull together in a timely fashion [I'm sure others are not having these issues]. So for my experience, 3 stars for the beauty and information contained within the app, but not 5 due to control issues.

A very solid app
As a massage therapist who teaches anatomy I am loving this app so far. It is very responsive and I like how smooth the made switching between the different points (rotate, peel, etc..). I would to see a whole line of apps for the different systems of the body (or ideally one app for all of them).

Best app I've found so far
Only been playing with the leap motion a couple of hours, but this is the funnest app I've found so far.

Really nice app for learning the basics of Leap Motion - thanks!
Great app to get started with. Tutorial steps you the basic gestures and gives you simple tasks to complete. After that you can pick from about 15 different sets of tasks to complete - some are timed. Good one for both kids and adults to get started with. (running on Win 7 /64 bit).

Great instructions, easy to use
This is a fairly stable app and I'm really impressed, especially since it is free. The controls take a little getting used to, but the tutorial is great at explanations. Could use some improvements and more instructions within the actual "levels" themselves, but this is turning out to be one of the best free apps they have out at this time!

By far the best yet
This is by far the best app I have tried so far. Easy to use, very responsive and very interesting. This could possibly be a real window into the future of surgery. Brilliant!

Not recognising retina.
The application seem to detect screen resolution while being executed. But it does not recognise retina's 2x resolution. Workaround is to put the application in full screen mode. The tutorial is okay, I think it is about me when my thumb is not working too well spreading haha. However, I don't know what to do after that. (Too polished by Apple's simple but intuitive instructions) Anyways, not bad as one of the kick-starter @ free of charge. Keep it up!

Fascinating!
This is exactly the sort of thing I envision for this kind of device. Gestures to select and move are a little sensitive, but that may simply be a matter of getting used to the LeapMotion. Customizing gestures would be a nice addition, and certainly a more thorough skeletal medical model would be worth a purchase.

Excellent App
Quite easy and intuitive to use. Was very quick to pick up the interface and controls. Very educational. Graphics, design and layout A+ More choices in the future would make it even better

Tank!
Loving the App. Have issues with responding to clicks with the thumb, otherwise its a great app to use for LEAP.

Great learning tool
Need some work on the clicking, holding and dropping. Zoom and rotation are perfect. The graphics are great ! I can just imagine the potential as a learning tool with full skeleton and even full body with muscle and organs... I could see it becoming an indispensable in schools ... And why stop there, this could be used as a better way to teach how to build and repair just about anything, computers, engines ... the possibilities are endless !!!
-
Quite good
Really liked the rotate & zoom in/out functions, but had problems with the "clicking" . Maybe you could try interface that zooms/rotates with left hand, and points/clicks with right?
-
Perfect for learn and LEAP introduction
Use a easy interface, good response. For the future, a complete skeleton would be great.

Good idea, futzy interface
Cumbersome to use at first, and a bit high volume on sound. Learning curve for moving and selecting may be steeper than some have patience for. Could use persistent, on screen, instructions for manipulation. Some parts flitted by on accident and a restart of the tutorial resulted in the same skipping of instructions. Figured it out, but that isn't a good first-use experience. Patience wore thin after that.

one of the best initial apps to see...
...what an amazing potential the LEAP has. Perfectly responding and touching and clicking - great! I would love to see more "small" apps like this, showing the enourmous potential of LEAP. Thanks.
-
Good App.. Opens up dimensions for better use and interface
Its fun to dissect the skull and place the bones together.. but sometimes there are issues in terms of grabbing the bones otherwise works fine. Sorry for being a critic would to see these kind of apps reach their full potential and for the controller as well :)
-
Interesting but unfinished
It is interesting to take apart the skull and learn about the parts as I point to them. Would be better if each part I pointed to lit up a little, or was outlined, or something so I could tell exactly what I was pointing at. The controls are not precise. The skull pieces shake irritably while I'm moving them. The click to let go of a piece does not usually register the first 1 or 2 times I try, even though I see the color change. This program is a rough draft, not a final product.

Controls are very good
The content of this app is good But: The controls are great! This is what the Windows control should behave like. Clicking by extending your thumb, scrolling by spreading your fingers. Very nicely done

Awesome!
The content of the app itself is not that interesting to me. The menu, that you have to access using the mouse pointer is ugly and it needs to be accessed using a mouse/touchpad! The controls with the Leap however are really great! Well done!
-
Very cool
Great app! Moving the skull is awesome and I like putting the teeth back together.

Love playing with this skull!
It's so much fun to move the skull around! The movement is beautiful and I love pulling the skull towards me and going inside it. The gaming aspect (having to reassemble with a limited timeframe) makes the education delightful. Would love to learn about other parts as well.

Very smooth
This is a very attractive and educating app. DEFINITELY WORTH DOWNLOADING. If interested in human body this is a good start. There are lots that I didn't know before trying this app. Brilliant.

I learned something!
Good app. Nice controls, especially the rotation. The graphics are nice and I actually learned something! I think this is a good use of the Leap Motion technology too.

Good!
Great control and fun way to learn, but sometimes I wished there were some hints or help. It get's a bit frustrating when a bone is in the right place but nothing happens
