Hello Guys
I am currently working on my graduation project and making use of the Oculus Rift and Leap Motion. Long story short, I'm testing the Leap Motion in Unreal Engine 4 with the Oculus Rift right know. However, I am having some issues with the Rigged Hands from the official UE4 plugin. I've attached the Leap Motion to the Oculus Rift and made use of all the HMD mode settings (from Leap Motion), as far as I know. Some of the bugs:
- The left arm keeps flickering (this is a known issue), because it's mirrored.
- The right arm is rather buggy (in HMD mode) compared to using the Leap Motion normally (on the desk).
- Sometimes a third arm randomly spawns.
My testing video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHDdsfTsfVg
One of the solutions is making mesh of the left hand, instead of using the mirrored version. This guy made a left hand and I would love to have some of the results as this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-huX1NXvftk
I tried to contact him, but unfortunately he doesn't respond. Could you guys give me some advice regarding making the left hand? Did he make it in UE4 (with blueprints) or with C++?
Hoping to hear from you! (If you need more info: blueprints, etc. just let me know)
Kind Regards,
Sjors Jessen
