Hey everyone,
I’m pleased to announce that we’ve just released the latest version of Airspace Home and our core Leap Motion controller software – version 1.2. We strongly recommend that all users upgrade to this new version, which includes new features, bug fixes, stability, and performance improvements. Note: while this doesn’t include the upcoming v2.0 skeletal tracking, we’re also working on getting v2.0 tracking ready to share as a beta with the broader developer community.
I’ve posted the full release notes below:
Airspace Home + Leap Motion Software version 1.2
- New experimental feature playground in Airspace Home: “Airspace Labs”
- New Airspace Labs feature: sort your apps based on most recent use
- In Airspace Home, added notification area for alerts about new Airspace Store apps and features, as well as other Leap Motion updates
- Italian and Korean language support added to Airspace Home and Control Panel
- Automatic firmware upgrade for HP embedded devices, which now use the Leap Motion driver
- Tracking and connectivity reliability improvements for HP embedded devices
- Users can now opt out of usage metrics
- Out-of-box experience improvements, including fixing a crash experience in Orientation
- Updated control panel to Qt 5 UI
- Updated websockets protocol to v5
- Streamlined software updating mechanism and provided better notification of pending software updates

Over the last few weeks, we heard from lots of people on the 1.2 early release thread, and appreciate everyone's help in troubleshooting a few lingering bugs. You can download the new version here.

Cheers,
-Dan

The new software is a great improvement- gestures are detected much more reliably, I'm really looking forward to further updates. This is very cool tech!

But still, the app hangs at "connecting to authentication server" and stays there forever. My ISP, allows me to connect to internet through squid proxy server only, Please elaborate, how to get pass through that.

@mani0093
Even with v1.2 there's an unfortunate bug where if Airspace Home hits a DNS error or other connection issue, it may misleadingly keep the "connecting to authentication server" screen displayed even though it's no longer trying to connect. Related thread here.
Could you open up %LocalAppData%\Airspace\log.txt (~/Library/Application Support/Airspace/log.txt on OS X) and see what it says at this point?
As we troubleshoot this, it may be better that you post your response in the other thread.
