We believe you should have as much control over your apps as possible, so we're creating a storefront that encourages and supports your creativity that's easy to use. When it comes to your apps, you make all the decisions: you choose the pricing, distribution, and which platform(s) to support. When Airspace goes international, you'll decide which countries to reach. And to ensure this is a trustworthy and valuable place for our customers, we'll review and test every app that's submitted. Every app on Airspace will be an accurately represented, safe, and quality product we're all proud to showcase.

How they'll discover your app.

We designed Airspace with three things in mind: our customers, your apps, and making them all easy to discover. We have a team dedicated to curating new and interesting apps. The Airspace interface integrates featured apps with randomly selected apps from the store, so every app has a chance to shine.

Since Leap Motion apps come in many categories, we support an extensive category list. This means your app will be tagged and categorized as appropriately as possible. If you're releasing a plugin to existing software, there's a category for that, too.

How you'll find your audience.

Who will see your app? Everyone who owns a Leap Motion controller. They have direct access to Airspace as soon as they download the Leap Motion software. In fact, it's the only place they need to go to find the best Leap-enabled apps. And it's the safest, too. Since we review and approve every app before it's accepted into Airspace, we maintain quality and trust between our developers and our customers.

Distribute your app anywhere.

As a developer, you're free to distribute your app anywhere you choose. Airspace offers a non-exclusive distribution — you can still maintain your existing distribution streams and customer relationships. And, just as you'd expect, the Leap Motion Controller will work with any Leap-enabled software no matter where it was purchased.

Your app can go global.

When Airspace launches, it will be a US storefront. But International visitors can visit the store and buy apps with a credit card or PayPal account. In the future, Airspace will be truly international. It will support languages, native currency, additional payment methods and more. Even though Airspace will be in English at launch, you can provide additional language support within your app. As new countries are added in the future, we will keep our community updated.

Let's talk money.

How much will your app cost? It's up to you. When your app is distributed on Airspace, you can choose between two pricing models: Free and a one-time fee. We're also working on an In-App Purchasing API which will be released in the near future. The minimum price for paid apps is $0.99, and the maximum price is $999.99. You are free to price your app however you choose within this range.

You'll receive 70% of each sale, and payouts will occur on a monthly basis. Payouts will be sent within 30 days after the end of the calendar month in which the sale is made. If there are any charge backs on your apps, you will be notified and those costs will be withheld. You're also responsible for paying taxes on your earnings. Our goal is to give you full visibility into your earnings and applicable withholdings along the way, so nothing is a surprise.

Simple submissions.

We're more than excited to experience your app. We want everyone with a Leap Motion Controller to discover it, too. So we're making Airspace submissions a simple, yet thorough process. And, of course, to be sure your app is the best experience it can be for our customers, we've set up some guidelines.

Before you submit your app, you'll need to read and sign the Developer Distribution Agreement (PDF).Then review our Guidelines to prepare your submission. You'll find everything you need to know about submitting your app, the content that's acceptable, and what could block your app from being approved.

When your app and submission form is complete, it will be tested and reviewed by the Leap Motion App Review Team. If your app has been denied, we'll send you a detailed test report explaining why it wasn't approved. For a complete list of what the Review Team looks at, visit the Review Guidelines.
